Is my 1999 chevy monte carlo fuel sysem pressurized? I want to change my filter and it warned me to check my system earlier installing new one. If so how practice I depressurize information technology, and then information technology can be installed.

Disconnect the negative cable at the battery then loosen the fuel tank filler cap to relieve any fuel tank vapor pressure. Wrap a store towel effectually the Schrader valve on the fuel rail and remove the dust cap from the valve. Connect the fuel pressure gauge to the Schrader valve. Install the complimentary end of the gauge bleed hose into an approved gasoline container, and open the gauge drain valve to relieve the fuel pressure level.

Engine problem
1996 Chevy Monte Carlo V6 Two Wheel Bulldoze Automated 168000 miles
I was coming dwelling last nighttime and my motorcar started acting like it was running out of gas, but it had plenty. I think it's the fuel filter, merely I tin can't find it to check it.
Can someone please tell me where the fuel filter is located on my 96 monte carlo?

If I remember right it is located back of the vehicle just before the gas tank on the drivers side. It a sliver cylinder in the fuel line. If non its on the other side of the fuel tank towards the rear of the car.

My info says it is nether the vehicle, by the gas tank. Looks like a threaded fitting on one cease and quick connect plumbing fixtures on the other terminate. Don't take whatever lines loose without being sure there is no force per unit area on the system.
